Vonyx VXA-2000 2 x 1000W Two-Channel PA Power Amplifier

The Vonyx VXA-2000 is a two-channel stereo power amplifier designed to drive PA speakers or subwoofers. It delivers 2 x 1000W at 4Ω, 2 x 750W at 8Ω or 2000W at 8Ω in bridged mode. SMT technology supports stable high-power output, while the amplifier's wide frequency response and low noise level help maintain a clean, full-range signal.

Suitable for discos, bars, clubs, stages and studios, the VXA-2000 fits a standard 19-inch rack. Front-to-rear forced airflow assists with cooling during operation.

Controls and status indicators

The front panel includes a power switch and separate volume controls for both channels. Three orange signal LEDs display output signal levels, while clip LEDs indicate when either channel reaches maximum power. Occasional clip indication may occur, but continuous illumination means the volume should be reduced to help prevent equipment damage.

A protection indicator provides warning when the amplifier detects a fault. The protection system disconnects the amplifier before damage occurs and illuminates the protection LED. Conditions that may trigger this mode include inadequate ventilation, impedance below 4Ω, defective cooling fans or a short circuit in the cables.

Inputs and operating modes

Two female 6.3 mm jack inputs and two RCA inputs are provided for connection to a signal source such as a mixer. In stereo mode, the amplifier operates as a standard left and right channel system. Bridge mode combines both amplifier channels into one higher-powered channel, using the left input and left volume control.

A ground lift switch separates the circuit and chassis grounds when required, helping address hum caused by earth loops.

Speaker outputs

Speaker connection options include two 6.3 mm jack outputs, binding post terminals and two NL4 outputs. Stereo operation supports a 4Ω load per channel, while bridged operation supports an 8Ω load. The rear panel also includes cooling outlets, a mains power connection and a fuse to protect the amplifier and wiring against faults.
