Vonyx VXA-1200 Two-Channel 600W PA Power Amplifier

The Vonyx VXA-1200 is a two-channel stereo power amplifier designed to drive PA speakers or subwoofers. SMT technology supports stable high-power operation, while its wide frequency response and low-noise design help deliver a clean, full-range signal. The 19-inch rack-mountable chassis suits use in bars, clubs, discos, stage environments and studios.

Stereo and bridge operating modes provide output configurations of 2 x 600W at 4 ohms, 2 x 450W at 8 ohms or 1 x 1200W bridged at 8 ohms. Front-to-rear forced airflow assists with cooling during operation.

The front panel includes a power switch and independent volume controls for both channels. Three orange signal LEDs display output signal levels, while clip LEDs indicate when either channel reaches maximum power. If a clip LED remains continuously illuminated, the volume should be reduced to help prevent equipment damage.

A protection indicator provides warning when the amplifier detects a fault. The protection system disconnects the amplifier before damage occurs and illuminates the protection LED. Conditions that may activate protection include inadequate ventilation, impedance below 4 ohms, defective fans or a short circuit in the cables.

The rear panel provides two female 6.3mm jack inputs and two RCA inputs for connection to a mixer or other signal source. In stereo mode, the amplifier operates as standard left and right channels. Bridge mode combines both amplifier channels into one higher-powered channel, using the left input and left volume control.

A ground lift switch separates circuit and chassis grounds to help address hum caused by earth loops. Speaker connection options include two 6.3mm jack outputs, binding posts and two NL4 outputs. The rear panel also houses cooling vents, the mains power connection and a protective fuse.
